Salen (or Sälen) has 153 pistes with a total length of 155 kilometers (97 miles). Salen is best suited to advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There are 200 kilometers (125 miles) of cross country ski trails at Sälen. For snowboarders, there are 4 terrain parks and 4 half pipes. Almost half of the pistes at Salen (or Sälen) are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Mora and the nearest train station to Salen is at Malung.
