A mixed bag across the mountain today, with Cedar Park Express and the T-Bar reopening to spice things up on this Thursday. Expect a terrain texture shuffle from hard-packed mid trails to soft-serve toward the bottom as the day heats up, while higher elevations still offer pockets of soft snow to search. With a couple of inches of new snow earlier in the week and a healthy dose of wind, the area around Little Blue should offer you the best chance for some fresh tracks. Schweitzer is German for crappy snow. I had to live there for 30 years due to my job. The maritime climate makes for wet or icy conditions. Management touts it as a destination resort. Being raised in Jackson Wyoming, I can attest to the fact that Schweitzer lacks the snow, class or ambiance of a destination resort. Go to a resort with higher elevation and finer amenities.
