Two inches of fresh snow on the stake brings our storm total to 8 inches over the last two days, but the party didn't stop there–the day ended with a mixed bag of rain, sleet, ice and a howling wind that's left surfaces gritty and glassy, especially up high where the ice is thick on everything. Big shoutout to our groomers, who have been battling the aftermath, doing their best to lay down a usable base, but the mess is real and the sun hasn't shown up to melt it away yet. Schweitzer is German for crappy snow. I had to live there for 30 years due to my job. The maritime climate makes for wet or icy conditions. Management touts it as a destination resort. Being raised in Jackson Wyoming, I can attest to the fact that Schweitzer lacks the snow, class or ambiance of a destination resort. Go to a resort with higher elevation and finer amenities.
