No new snow this morning, but we sure did have a blast with the fresh stuff yesterday. What a wonderful surprise with 8” total from our, most likely, last storm of the winter. We have a pleasant morning with temps in the 30’s, a clear sky and light wind. The groomers are setting up to be firm to start then will soften as sunshine blankets the mountain throughout the day. The front side lifts are open (except Sunnyside) for you to chase down those untouched stashes and get those last laps of the season while they’re fresh. Hace 24 hourMother Nature is finally showing us some love. We woke up to 4” of fresh snow this morning. The snow is still coming down nicely and the wind is howling throughout the mountain. It’s a legit powder/storm riding day with strong southwest winds blowing that gorgeous snow all over the mountain. Another 3 to 5” is in our forecast for today, so this is no joke of a spring snowstorm. Looking ahead, today does look like your last powder day of the season as temps are forecast to warm up heading into closing weekend. It’s going to be awesome! Schweitzer is German for crappy snow. I had to live there for 30 years due to my job. The maritime climate makes for wet or icy conditions. Management touts it as a destination resort. Being raised in Jackson Wyoming, I can attest to the fact that Schweitzer lacks the snow, class or ambiance of a destination resort. Go to a resort with higher elevation and finer amenities.
