Ascutney Mountain Resort in the United States (Vermont State) is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts (5 chairs, 1 surface) that offers skiers an impressive 548 metres (1799 feet) of vertical descent. Ascutney Mountain Resort has 150 acres of terrain with trails having a total length of 32 kilometers (20 miles). Ascutney Mountain Resort is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Ascutney Mountain Resort. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. Nearly all of the trails at Ascutney Mountain Resort are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Burlington/Boston and the nearest train station to Ascutney Mountain Resort is at Windsor.

Ascutney (Ascutney Mountain Resort) offers one thing: it is very accessible from the south due to it's proximity to I-91. Aside from that, there is little reason to visit there instead of the other Vermont resorts. Limited terrain and snow, the latter due to low elevation. One thing that has always bugged me: why don't they (Ascutney Mountain Resort
) cut trails all the way to the top of the mountain? The trail network stops at least 500 vertical ft below the summit.
