We visited Vogel on February 18th 2011 for a week with friends for a budget holiday. The area is beautiful visually and Vogel itself would keep a beginner or inexperienced intermediate happy for a week if it was all open and had decent snow. For the first 2 days, only 2 slopes were open and there were no snow making cannons. Day 3 we went to Krvavek following a snowfall - Beware that from Vogel there is no ski bus to any other open resorts this year, you have to get a taxi to Bled and ski bus from there. This is annoying when you have an area pass. Vogel was good the last 3 days of the holiday, all runs were open but it was a local holiday and the queues were horrendous on the lifts and one could wait up to an hour for the cable up the mountain. The snow was melting to slush on our last day.
