Being the first ski resort in Azerbaijan, Shahdag Mountain Resort is located near the largest national park in the country, in one of the most beautiful mountainous regions of Azerbaijan, Gusar. Shahdag, named according to a surrounding peak reaching 4,243 meters above sea level, is currently the largest ski area in the country ranking among top 10 regional ski resorts. Besides skiing, the resort offers numerous winter and summer activities operating for whole year. Currently, there are 26 ski slopes designed in various degrees of complexity and 17 lifts used as attraction, communication of hotels/restaurants and support for activities. Four hotels and one hotel residence with apartments within the resort are offering all year 'round mountain activities and world-class quality and service.
