What's it like at Scaly Mountain?

Scaly Mountain, in the United States (North Carolina State), is now dedicated to snow tubing.

It was a tiny ski resort with just two ski lifts with only 69 metres (225 feet) of vertical descent. Scaly Mountain had 12 acres of terrain over 5 trails. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Scaly Mountain. The nearest airport is at Asheville.

      It was fun but lines for the lift to go snow-tubing were long and so I had to hike up the hill. There was no real snow but the man-made was like the real stuff. They are only open 20 days out of the year.
