After having a season's pass at Stevens Pass for 10 years, I've switched to Mission Ridge for the last couple. Only a 20 minute drive from Wenatchee, and almost always no crowds. At Mission you can still find powder at noon...unlike Stevens. Mission remains colder too (though it gets less snow), so the snow usually stays as powder, instead of turning to Cascade concrete and glaunch. Though I love Mission, it will chew you up and spit you out if you aren't careful. It's pure basalt out there, and because the wind usually blows 20 mph at the top of the ridge and it is powder, some areas don't get much accumulation...Great chutes and lines too, but with little room for error because of basalt. Check the landing before you fly.
