Been to Espot in March 2005, my first year snowboarding. This resort is small so it's very familiar and the teachers are friendly. There are only 30 slopes, but that is ok for beginners/intermediates. The food is OK and cheap. You must confirm whether to have snow there, chances are it would be less than in nearby resorts, like Baqueira-Beret. Has a big hotel at the end of the runs, but I stayed a few km down the mountain. Overall, a good experience, and a cheap one too. Good to families!
