Cataloochee in the United States (North Carolina State) is a small ski resort with just 4 ski lifts (3 chair lifts, 1 surface lifts) with only 226 metres (740 feet) of vertical descent. Cataloochee has 15 acres of terrain over 10 trails with a total length of 4 kilometers (2 miles). Cataloochee is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. We have no information about the existence of any cross country ski trails at Cataloochee. All of the trails at Cataloochee are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Atlanta.
