Les Gets is a small, friendly resort that offers a good mix of slopes in its own right. However, Les Gets is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area (in the Haute Savoie region) which is huge. This will keep everyone happy and you can village hop for lunch. In total, there are over 650 km of piste to explore. However, it must be noted that this area lies on the fringe of the Alps at a lower elevation than most resorts. As a consequence, snow cannot be guaranteed and the season is somewhat shorter. The town is partly car free and traditional in style. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and the party can continue late into the night, if desired. Les Gets has 66 groomed trails that can be accessed by using the 52 lifts; 5 of these are gondolas. There is a terrain park at Les Gets and cross country skiing over 12 kms.

Great events in Les Gets 2013
February 16th to March 16th is the winter holiday events of walks, performances, workshops and guided tours. A rich program where everyone is invited to participate in the many activities offered during these four weeks.
Wednesday 20th to Sunday 24th March - Go Wilde Music Festival - Come to the Portes du Soleil for the most innovative live music event in Europe! There is an amazing concert every day the the best of the French and International pop/rock scene (program to be announced).
Thursday 4th to Saturday 6th April - Ebouelle Contest 6th Edition- This sports spectacular gathers together Freestyle competition skiers and snowboarders, along with the graphic arts and music.

Have stayed in Les Gets for the past 6 years and it never fails to disappoint. Lovely traditional Alpine village with a nice balance of places to enjoy après-ski. Very family friendly but also some great bars for child free groups to enjoy. Lots of varied runs for all abilities available on the Morzine/Les Gets lift pass and some fantastic mountain restaurants, Pointe De Nyon being a particular favourite. Always stay in the fabulous Chalet Gentiane. Ideally located in the town but only a very short walk to both the main Chavanne and Mont Chery lifts, and the bars!!. Chalet Gentiane is a beautiful luxury catered chalet, the food is always first class and the accommodation is exceptional. Would recommend Les Gets and Chalet Gentiane in particular for a fantastic holiday.
