Folgarida (Folgarida-Marilleva) in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy, is a large resort with 27 lifts (7 gondolas, 15 chair lifts, 5 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 880 metres (2887 feet) of vertical descent. Folgarida has 28 pistes with a total length of 50 kilometers (31 miles). Folgarida is best suited to beginner skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for both expert and intermediates. There are 47 kilometers (29 miles) of cross country ski trails at Folgarida. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half-pipe. The majority of the pistes at Folgarida are covered by snowmaking. Folgarida is connected to Marilleva (Folgarida-Marilleva) and Madonna di Campiglio, providing a total of 120 kms between the Brenta Dolomites and the Ortles Cevedale group. The closest airport is at Verona but the transfer time is 2 hours. The nearest train station to Folgarida is at Rovereto.
